Chris has been the Golf Professional at Llanerch Country Club since November 2009. In his time here he has already reinvented our golf program and continues to place Llanerch among the best clubs in the Philadelphia area. Before Chris’ arrival at Llanerch he was the First Assistant Golf Professional at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey, one of the state’s most prestigious family clubs. It has hosted many significant golf events, the most recent being the 2008 Barclays, one of the tournaments making up the PGA Tour Fed-Ex Cup playoff series. Prior to Ridgewood, Chris was Assistant Golf Professional at Wilmington Country Club, another outstanding family club within the Golf Association of Philadelphia. He also was also First Assistant Professional at the Weston Golf Club in Weston, Mass. and Assistant Golf Professional at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass. Chris did his internship and apprentice tours in the golf business at Grand Cypress Resort and Jupiter Hills respectively, both outstanding golf facilities in Florida.  Chris and his wife Camille have two daughters, Camissie (5), and Paisey, born in 2012.

 
Greg Carver

Greg was born and raised in Hopewell, NJ, a small town near Princeton. He attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he graduated in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Professional Golf Management. He played one year of college golf in 2005 for Methodist, one of the top programs in Division III. Greg did internships at Cherry Valley Country Club (NJ), Jericho National Golf Club and Grandfather Golf and Country Club which is the highest ranked private club in North Carolina. Since his graduation, he has held Assistant Professional positions at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL and Balsam Mountain Preserve in Sylva, NC. He then moved on to Chechessee Creek Club (SC) this past winter which is one of the premier new private clubs in the country. Greg has been with Llanerch since January 2010 and is a year-round assistant.

Chris Gardner

Chris Gardner is a native of Bowling Green, OH where he started playing golf with his father at a very young age. He attended Clemson University, graduating in 2006 while serving as President of the Professional Golf Management program. Chris has had the good fortune of working at many top facilities in the country throughout his brief career. He began his internship rotation at Saucon Valley Country Club. He then served a six month internship at Medinah Country Club, host of the 2006 PGA Championship and 2012 Ryder Cup, in Chicago, IL. Chris later returned as an Assistant Professional at Medinah for the 2007 season. He also spent time as an intern for the PGA of America in Michigan and Pebble Beach Golf Resort in Monterey, CA. His last four golf seasons have been spent at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, MD as First Assistant Professional.

Brendan King

Brendan King is from New Cumberland, PA, where he learned to play golf in a family of avid players. Brendan graduated from Clemson University in 2012 with a degree in Professional Golf Management.  He was recently elected as a member of the PGA.  He has internship experience at the Hershey Country Club and Links in Hershey, PA and completed two internships at Wilmington Country Club in Delaware.  Brendan has returned to Llanerch for his second season.
